Developer intern:

You love making software, software tools, and solving logic problems. You started modding games in high school and now are developing your own apps. We develop software using the latest frameworks, including Laravel, Vue, Nuxt, GoDot, and Express, and modern languages, including PHP, Node.JS, Swift, Java, JavaScript and C#. We prefer candidates with a demonstrated skill level in at least two of these languages. Problem solving ability matters more than "perfect" code. You should have or be seeking:

• Command of at least two modern development languages: PHP-Laravel, Node.JS, Swift, Java, C#.
• Excellence working toward fluency in JavaScript.
• Ability to leverage CDN / cloud services like Cloudflare, AWS, and Google Cloud.
• Ability to compose Docker deploy scripts for containerized applications.
• Ability to use scaling technologies like Kubernetes.
• Strength using shell tools and writing BASH scripts.
• Preference for console interface IDEs like Vim over GUI interfaces like VSCode.
• Comfort using VPS services like SSDNode, Linode, and Vultr.
• Strong understanding of client - server communications protocols.
• Strong understanding of semantic versioning, Gitflow, DRY principles
• Demonstrated ability to use terse, information-dense code comments and write readable code.
• Preference to avoid 3rd party libraries / APIs and vendor dependencies in code.
• Ability to rapidly prototype, debug, and test applications.
