Essential Job Duties
Primary duties of the Instrumentation and Testing Systems Lead include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring that all instrumentation-connected systems and specialty equipment are inappropriate networks, whether that is the building private IP ranges or limited access networks.
- Regularly reviewing security scans for incorrect networking configuration and security issues.
- Providing planning, testing, and implementation of new systems for attachment to production, testing, and data acquisition environments.
- Assisting in the diagnostics and debugging of machine code for connected systems.
Minimum Education/Experience
- A Masters's degree and at least one year of experience; OR a Bachelors's and at least three years of experience.
Departmental Required Skills
- Experience with Configuration Management Systems (SCCM, Puppet, JAMF Pro) on multiple operating systems.
- Extensive knowledge of Active Directory and related information technology systems.
- Experience with ServiceNow ITSM or similar products.
- Understanding of core networking and security principles.
- Experience with real-time troubleshooting/debugging/monitoring tools (strace, Process Monitor, etc).
- Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
- At least 2 years of experience with Windows client management technologies such as Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM, and Powershell.
- Familiarity with PHP, javascript, and other web programming languages and version control systems.
- Programming (Powershell, Labview, .Net) and version control (Git, GitHub) experience.
- Experience with G-Suite or Office 365 cloud productivity platforms.
- Familiarity with configuration management systems.
- Understanding of multiple web and database server platforms
- Understanding of core networking and security principles.
