Responsibilities:
- Work with a team of web and application developers, for a company that is rapidly expanding in the area, to support web sites and online applications for a government research institute.
- Work quickly and carefully to complete work on both small and larger projects, collaborate with colleagues, and suggest new solutions to improve existing websites.
- Meet daily with colleagues to discuss goals for the day and week, collaborate with colleagues when needed, work independently on web change edits and coding and review work by colleagues.
- Communicate with customers, document work/time details in the job tracking system, investigate and learn emerging technologies, and be flexible to change your priorities if the customer s priorities change.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline.
- 3-4 years of working experience in Web Development.
- Drupal site-building experience and strong familiarity with both front- and back-end
- Knowledge of PHP programming language.
- Should have working experience with the following technologies: HTML5, CSS3, SASS, JavaScript, jQuery, and XML.
- Experience in the layout of web pages with CSS, coding of HTML pages (no WYSIWYG) and modifying and implementing JavaScript s and jQuery.
- Working knowledge of responsive design and basic image editing.
- Skills in Version Control, interactive media and an understanding of typography & layout is highly desired.
- Basic knowledge of usability & 508 compliance.
- Working experience with databases (Oracle or SQL).
- Strong skills in versioning control (subversion, git) are highly desired.
