Duties & Responsibilities
- Applies security and feature patches to cloud hosted systems using a combination of SCCM, Intune, and Windows Update
- Creates cloud resources as directed, such as virtual machines, web applications, and storage accounts
- Monitors cloud resources and backups, resolving issues as required
- Manages cloud services, which includes inventorying systems, maintaining base levels of expectation and addressing discrepancies
- Administers on-premise servers at remote locations
- Participates and contributes to a projectized environment
- Provides escalatory support to internal 1st tier administrators
- Drives resolution of issues with internal support teams or third parties
- Identifies and resolves issues with Azure services and systems; escalates as needed
- Communicates service health advisories to the applicable audience
- Fosters strong relationships with Columbia’s business community
- Required Professional and Technical Expertise
Education/Experience:
- 4 years relevant cloud computing experience or an equivalent degree
- Deep understanding of the technical aspects of cloud computing
- Enterprise Systems Management (SCCM, Intune, Active Directory)
- Experience with JSON and Azure templates
- Azure PowerShell and/or Azure CLI script experience
- Remote Desktop Services (RDS)/Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) administrative experience
- Microsoft Windows Server (2008 or later) operating system administration expertise
- Administration within a Dell systems environment
Education/Experience:
- Industry recognized certifications applicable to this position
- Experience using Office365 services (Teams, Planner, Power Automation, Power BI)
- Prior experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) with enterprise-level application development or infrastructure projects
- Experience working with smaller, close-knit teams
- Skills:
- Bi-lingual (Spanish or French)
- Ability to establish effective relationships with people in a multi-cultural, multi-language environment
