Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline.
- 3-4 years of working experience in analysts position with strong quantitative analytical skills, preferably within the web development field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with clients and present findings
- Well organized and detail oriented with an ability to multitask.
- Strong knowledge of Web analytics and Search Engine Optimization.
- Working experience with HTML/HTML5, CSS and JavaScript’s.
- Understanding of 508 compliance.
- Applicants selected will be subject to a Public Trust background security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information. US Citizens or Permanent Residents preferred.
Responsibilities
- Work with a team of web and application developers and designer, for a company that is rapidly expanding in the area, to support web sites and online applications for a government research institute.
- Work quickly and carefully to complete small website edits requested by customers, gather requirements to assist the developers in creating plans for completing larger projects, and suggest new solutions to improve existing websites.
- Communicate with customers, understand the requirement gathering process, document work/time details in job tracking system and be flexible to change your priorities if the customer’s priorities change.
- Develop materials and conduct training on various web topics. Develop and manages internal procedures and documents
- Review our websites, analyze the traffic to/from the websites and evaluate future enhancements to improve usability, SEO and page traffic.
- Meet frequently with colleagues to discuss goals for the day and week, collaborate with colleagues when needed, work independently on web change edits and coding and review work by colleagues.
- Stays current with technological developments in software development, systems and application support, as well as management and user support practices.
