Departmental Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Sr. Technology Support Analyst or similar role
- Experience with servers, group policy administration, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
- Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
- Ability to create scripts in PowerShell, or other languages
- Familiar with various operating systems and platforms (e.g. Windows Server 2019, 2008R2, SQL Server 2016, Windows 10/8.1/7, Linux, Mac, Andriod)
- Ability to Escalate trouble tickets to work with NCSU OIT when issues arise that cannot be solved locally.
- Familiarity with GSuite, providing support and coordination for GSuite products and applications
- Analytical skills regarding error logs, system performance data, and user information ensuring server reliability
- Extensive knowledge of Windows Server configurations and maintenance
- Setting up and maintaining backup/maintenance plans
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Comfortable with design and development related software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere)
- Well-developed troubleshooting skills
- Ability to independently discover and implement software solutions to translate questions into meaningful answers
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions, learn new technologies and apply to work
- Excellent presentation skills necessary for client interaction
- Troubleshoot databases and tables
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
- 4 to 7 Years of experience working in this field.
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), CompTIA: A+, Network+, Security+
