Responsibilities:
- Engage with business owners to assist in the definition, interpretation, and implementation of system enhancements and partner with Product Management and Engineering teams to assist with design, implementation, and maintenance of solutions through SDLC/Agile. Perform business validation testing on tools and models as required
- Work with cross-system teams to improve data quality and data relevance including the implementation of business controls and review audits using SQL to ensure data quality
- Provide ad-hoc analysis, support, and solutions as necessary
- Manage business operations from data validation through reporting to the GL ensuring the integrity of all processes and data in the financial applications
- Lead financial and GAAP compliance activities including General Ledger postings, SOX Sign-off; Internal and External Audits
- Oversee full range of controllership functions including accounting processes, financial close, revenue recognition, and financial controls & compliance
- Partner with Corporate Accounting, Finance Operations, and the Segments to ensure compliance and overall project and program success
- Proactively challenge existing processes and implement changes as needed
- Creating documentation, tools, and processes to support future directional goals
- Embrace uncertainty, take risks and learn quickly from mistakes while looking to achieve more through technology and innovation
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of related experience required
- BA/BS in Accounting/Finance/MIS or related field
- Advanced financial, controls, and compliance analytic skills including knowledge in the IFRS 606 - clear understanding of financial deadlines, hierarchies, procedures
- Advanced PC Skills (Excel in particular) including knowledge in MSRA, Power BI, and Power Query
- Understanding of relational databases, working knowledge of SQL Server and Analysis services
- Demonstrated ability to write and troubleshoot SQL Stored Procedures
- Working knowledge of the SDLC and associated Agile processes
- Proven process improvement/automation experience
- Ability to lead the delivery of projects, deal effectively with ambiguity, and prioritize under pressure
- High attention to detail and ability to work within stringent deadlines
- Experience dealing with conflict in a cross-functional environment
- Strong problem-solving ability and ability to utilize experience to improve processes and proactively drive opportunities to resolution without supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally across a range of technical disciplines and different organization levels.
- Required to be available for the supporting financial close procedures which occur prior to and after business hours
- Available to be on ICM bridge calls to support technical incidents which occur prior to and after business hours (must have text message alerts)
- Prior data stewardship, project management experience, and strong leadership skills is a plus
