Responsibilities
- Provides technical and functional support for database monitoring, database installation, database configuration, database administration, troubleshooting techniques, performance tuning and application system updates.
- Works as a team member with senior technical staff on large, complex technical projects.
- Completes assigned technical projects on time (e.g., analysis, designing, development, implementation, testing, monitoring, maintenance, production support, documentation, etc.).
- Analyzes problems, develops and implements solutions.
- Resolves escalated complex issues within the established timeframes while providing quality customer service.
- Proactively monitors and controls all directives to ensure quality and efficiency.
Even Better If You Have
- Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science / MIS field.
- Oracle DBA administration and/or programming experience.
- Knowledge of Oracle 11g/12c
- Experience with Linux.
- Experience with SQL and PL/SQL
- Experience with Unix shell scripting.
- Oracle Certified Professional preferred.
- Experience with Oracle Streams.
- Enterprise storage experience like NetApp.
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Grid Control 12c
- Ability to follow strict procedures and be disciplined in installation, documentation, event handling, and change control.
- Ability to adapt to changing goals based on customer demands and market conditions.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and have excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external users and customers.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
