EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree and at least two years of paid, professional experience in fund development and special event planning with a nonprofit organization.
• Experience with a wide spectrum of resource development strategies including individual giving, special events, planned giving, corporate and foundation giving.
• Experience developing online and printed materials.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.
• Ideal candidate is responsible, hardworking, and 100% comfortable with picking up the phone to engage with current or prospective supporters.
• High level of problem-solving skills, independent decision making, and demonstrated ability to manage large amounts of complex and detailed information accurately and efficiently.
• Knowledge and experience with resource development database applications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and generally tech-savvy.
• Preferred:
• Experience with Adobe Suite design programs (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
• Experience with online newsletter applications (ex. MailChimp).
• Experience with managing websites, preferably using WordPress.
• Video production and editing skills a plus.
