Minimum Experience/Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, or related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications:
- Significant experience in finance and business.
- Budget management experience.
- Advanced skill in business-oriented software applications, including Microsoft Excel (or similar software).
- Managerial experience.
- High level of detail.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and strategic planning skills necessary to interact and facilitate change with administrators and staff.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate, manage and problem solve well at all levels of the organization.
- Strong team-building skills to ensure sustainable services and strategy.
- Strong communication skills including written and verbal communications.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with teams to build consensus, develop effective relationships, and resolve conflict.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Business, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. Knowledge of state government policies and regulations.
- Project management, change management, and implementation skills.
- Significant experience in finance and company related to state agencies and universities.
- Proven experience translating business requirements into reliable, repeatable processes for service delivery.
- Experience managing customer relationship, improving customer satisfaction, and resolving difficult customer issues.
- Possess significant knowledge of and experience with budgets and accounting with the ability to exercise financial strategy in managing multiple funding sources and types.
